O-M-G! How can there only be two weeks of school left?! Where did the year go? It feels like yesterday that I was still homesick all the time and couldn't find any of my classes... Now I'm coming to the end of 1/5 of my time here at Cal. I can't believe it... I need another month! Probably won't be hearing from me for a while, as all my time will be spent coloring myself in, studying the psychology of culture, and presenting on men, sex, and the city...
Talk to you all later!

It's gettin' hot in here!
And out there! And everywhere for that matter! LOL I mean, I'm (i must interject that This Is Why I'm Hot by Mims just started playing... coincidence?) all for warm weather, but this is ridiculous... even for me! This is the kind of heat where you don't want to do anything but sit in front of a fan and eat ice cream all day. But alas, I am sitting in my room at my computer, with every window and door open, an open notebook on my lap that I should be writing my Cultural Psychology questions in... oh well! Which makes me wonder, why is it called 'senioritis'? I'm only a first year and I'm already feeling antsy! I think a more adiquate name would be 'summeritis' -- same basic concept, applies to procrastinating and unmotivated people everywhere! :-D I must add (for my mom, who will start reading my blog soon) that I'm still doing my work and will still be graduating in 4-5 years... ;-)
I will now go attempt to be productive for 30 minutes until going to the gym, where I might actually die from this heat!

A little change...
Is always good! I was sitting in my room the other day thinking how boring (and quite frankly drab!) my blog looked. I felt a bright, colorful change was in order... It is almost summer, after all! So, here I am sitting in my room listening to Summer Rain by Milk Inc making my blog look more summer-y! Hope you all approve!
Aside from my seasonal blog and the BEAUTIFUL weather we are having here in Berkeley, Ca, a sure-fire sign that summer is upon us is all the new movies coming out! Most importantly, of course... 17 AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Zac Effron=yummy!

College!
Holy crap! I can't believe I'm almost done with my first year of college! I gotta say though, it has been AWESOME! That's not to say that it has all been easy though, because it definitely hasn't. Now, this may come as a shock to some people, but I don't transition well. So, as you may have guessed moving out, coming into college, meeting all new people, and on top of it all, figuring out how to manage my life, was... intense to say the least. But everything I was told by my older friends, my family, and especially my mom (even though I didn't believe any of them at the time!) was true. That this transition gets easier with time. You find your niche and Berkeley's 25,000 (or some other obscenely large number) undergrad campus doesn't seem so big and overwhelming anymore. On top of meeting people through class, study groups, clubs and friends, some of my best friends I've met by sheer proximity. Living in the dorms was by far the best decision I've made (besides coming to Berkeley, of course!) I've met so many cool people, some of whom are now my best friends. When I first told people about applying and going to college, a surprising number of them assumed I'd be living at home. I truly believe that living in the dorms has made my first year in college exponentially better!
