so, jed, this is mostly to you, since you're the only person who i know actually reads my blog. But anyone else who reads this (yay and thank you!) is welcome to give ideas also...
i'm relatively new at this whole blog thing and i don't really know what to write about...
so, please give me suggestions of what you'd like to know about or hear my perspectives on!
thank you!

Hey Alva,
I'm honored to get personal shout outs in your blog :)
I think good blogs are the ones that don't just detail what a person did in any given day, but actually share a perspective, opinion, story, etc., that helps the rest of us see things a little differently.
You certainly have a unique and intriguing perspective to offer. I think people would love to hear you be as open as you're comfortable being about what your interactions are like with other people.
What happens when you enter a room? How has your life changed over 4 years of high school? What is it like to meet someone for the first time and see them respond to your disability?
Basically, because you are such a rockstar, I think anything you choose to share will be worth reading :)

Hey Alva,
Just to let you know you have at least TWO readers who think you are great!
I agree with Jed's comments about what blogs can do -- not just a diary but a way of sharing information and insights.
You are very perceptive and articulate about the "invisible" barriers that most people don't recognize or notice, which constitute real impediments to you (where handles are located, etc).
But I think it is even more revealing to talk about the barriers that arise unintentionally from people's attempts to "help." That's an area in which you can really open people's eyes to see the world around them through YOUR eyes.
But I wouldn't want the whole blog to be "Confessions of a Girl With C.P. in a wheelchair -- as your title says, putting you in that category can become just another kind of impediment. You basically want, think, care about, and need what most kids do at your age. It's important to remind people of what.
Yay, Alva!
Hi Alva -- I just found your blog through the interview post in Jed's. I'm a disabled former UCSF pediatric surgical patient and a Cal grad. Congratulations on getting in -- I hope you can get a spot in all of the classes you want!
You haven't posted in a couple of months, so not sure if you'll read this... But if you're still interested in stuff to write about, you might check out the Disability Blog Carnival. The archive has tons of ideas (not to mention endless reading material & interesting links) plus you could always join the next Carnival you have time for. :)
